First steps with your new RealWear Navigator

Variant A
Without integration into a mobile device management system (such as Microsoft Intune, 42Gears, etc.)

  1. Before switching on the Navigator 500, Navigator 520, Navigator Z1, please first configure the basic settings such as language, date, time and WLAN at https://realwear.setupmyhmt.com/configure/first-time-setup/locale. You can then convert this configuration into a QR code (this setup can still be used for the HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1).
  2. Now switch on the Navigator: press and hold the square button on the front of the device for at least 2 seconds. After starting the navigator and some introductory information, you will be asked to scan the generated QR code from 1.)
  3. Please make sure that the Navigator has the latest firmware: under “My programmes” you will find “Wireless update”. There you can update to the latest firmware if you have an active internet connection.

Variant B
We will be happy to provide you with corresponding instructions for the enrolment for various MDM platforms. Please contact us directly.

Using the Navigator with your PC/laptop

  1. To do this, install Vysor, a free desktop application for Windows and macOS: vysor.io
  2. Connect the device to the PC/laptop via USB cable. The Navigator should be recognised automatically. If this is not the case, please check the options for “USB” under “Settings” > “Connected devices”.
  3. You can now use your keyboard and mouse to work with the RealWear Navigator.
