RealWear Collaborate 2.4 – what’s new

RealWear Collaborate makes remote support with smart glasses even easier in everyday work: employees can initiate outgoing calls to colleagues, supervisors or entire team channels using voice control, while remote experts can connect via a Quick Connect code – without having to log in to the smart glasses.

The solution is based on Microsoft Azure Communication Services (enterprise-level security and compliance), integrates seamlessly with Dynamics 365 Field Service and fits into organisations where Microsoft Teams is already established without requiring any adjustment to the familiar workflow.

New functionalities

The new version 2.4 brings practical improvements that make typical processes even easier.

Automatically answer calls

When the device is in the charging station, an incoming call is answered by picking it up and putting it on – without a voice command or pressing a button.

Automatic call when removed from the docking station

A contact is stored once in the configuration. As soon as the device is removed from the station, a call is automatically initiated – ideal for shift starts and handovers.

External contacts

In addition to internal Microsoft Teams contacts, external contacts are now also displayed in the contact list and can be called directly, e.g. suppliers, service partners or contractors.

  • Simplified group management
  • Volume control also on non-RealWear Android devices
  • Time sync notification if the device time is incorrect, so that authentication and connection establishment remain stable.
